Cosmetic Dentistry

There's no such thing as too young or too old at Arcadia Dentistry. We are happy to have helped everyone from young children to over 100 achieve & maintain the smile they've always wanted. Discuss your concerns with Dr. Milana and see find out how we can help.

You Can Always Improve Your Smile

Even if you've been living with the same smile for your entire life, it's never too late to enhance it. It's within your power to improve your quality of life and feel better about yourself. Good looking teeth are lovely to look at, at any age. In fact, as we age, our teeth become an indicator of our health and vigor. Straight, white teeth are a symbol of youth and health.

If you are ready to improve your smile, we can help give you something to smile big about. Nothing makes our Phoenix patients happier about their appearance than a gorgeous smile.

As we age, we may start to notice that our teeth become more yellow or dull no matter how much we brush and floss.

The good news is that you can invigorate your tooth color and bring it back to its natural whiteness.

How Teeth Whitening Works

You can't see it, but your enamel has pores that can allow food particles to enter and make your smile appear dull. Aging thins our enamel out, and the layer of yellow dentin more visible. Additionally, what we eat and drink can stain our teeth. Smoking is also a common reason for yellowing teeth.

Professional teeth whitening can remove all these stains and whiten your smile by six to eight shades, and all of this can be done on your lunch hour. We use Boost whitening for in-office treatments. If you prefer the convenience of whitening your teeth at home, we offer take-home whitening kits for your convenience. We use Opalescence teeth whitening for at-home use.

Dental Cleanings in Phoenix, AZ

At Arcadia Dentistry, Dr. Milana will usually recommend a dental cleaning prior to the whitening treatment. This gives your teeth a uniform whiteness so that you have a bright, polished smile.

If you would like to learn more about the professional whitening treatments, please give our Phoenix dental office a call at any time.

Dental Implants

No matter your current oral condition, almost anybody can be a candidate for dental implants to restore missing teeth.

If you have one or multiple missing teeth, dental implants may be the best tooth-replacement option for you. The implant anchors to your jaw bone and starts acting like a tooth root. Dental implants are an attractive and functional tooth restoration.

Who Is a Good Implant Candidate?

Using our digital x-ray, we can determine if you have enough bone structure to support a dental implant placement. If Dr. Milana finds that you need more bone structure to support the dental implant, he may recommend bone grafting therapy to support the implant. We will go over all your dental options with you in order to restore permanent dental health and tooth function.

Schedule a Dental Implant Consultation!

If you have a missing tooth that shows when you smile, we can discuss your candidacy for a dental implant. Call our Phoenix dental office today to schedule an evaluation with Dr. Milana. Together we can create a smile treatment plan to reach your specific smile goals!

We Can Answer Any Insurance Question

If you have any questions about your insurance provider or which dental procedures they cover, we are happy to go through your benefits and communicate with your insurance. We understand how confusing and baffling the maze of insurance benefits and coverage can be to navigate.

At our Phoenix dental office, our goal is to make your life easier in any way we can. Give us a call at any time, we look forward to hearing from you!

We understand the burden of financial concerns when it comes to maintaining health and well-being. We ask our Phoenix questions to let us know if they are worried about not being able to afford necessary dental treatment, we do our best to work with you.

An Ounce of Prevention

Correcting problems is alway much more time consuming & costly than prevention. Our team believes in showing you ways to maintain your mouth and prevent problems at home in addition to offering preventative solutions in our dental office. We always work with our Phoenix patients to ensure that they know the correct procedure for brushing and flossing, along with good nutrition and lifestyle habits to keep their teeth and gums healthy. Regular dental check-ups and examinations prevent further dental issues from becoming costly procedures.

However, dental issues may still arise despite good preventive measures. In the case of a necessary dental procedure, we do offer various payment options to help work within your budget. Ask Cindy at the front desk about your financial options and what your insurance provider will cover.

Don't Neglect Your Oral Health

At Arcadia Dentistry, we don't want any of our patients neglecting their oral health because of financial concerns. If oral issues are left untreated, they won't heal themselves. The problem will continue to grow and may result in tooth loss. Dr. Milana and his dental team do their best to work with you so that you don't have to compromise on your oral health.

Dr. Milana and your dental hygienist will make sure you are as comfortable as possible at all times by using local or topical anesthetics. Please never hesitate to voice any discomfort so we can ensure a great visit!

We Want You to Enjoy Your Time with Us

At Arcadia Dentistry, your comfort is our priority.

Dental visits are a regular portion of maintaining your health, but just because they are necessary doesn't mean they should be stressful. Dental procedures should never be painful; we will always make sure that our Phoenix patients are comfortably numb and sedated depending on the procedure. If our patients are undergoing an invasive dental procedure, we can provide single-dose sedation valium to ensure that no pain or stress is felt.

Sleep Apnea and TMJ

While snoring is a common sign of sleep apnea, not everyone who snores suffers from this sleeping disorder. At Arcadia Dentistry, we take your snoring seriously and can conduct a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea.

How Can I Tell If I Have Sleep Apnea?

While our Phoenix may have one or multiple symptoms of sleep apnea, the only way to treat it is after conducting a sleep study. During a sleep study, your actions during sleep are recorded and monitored. Come into our dental office if you are experiencing any of the following:

Loud snoring
Gasping during sleep
Constantly feeling sleepy
Dry or sore throat in the mornings
Morning headaches
Irritability

Millions of American adults suffer from TMJ—a condition that causes jaw pain, earaches, and headaches. The origin of their pain is related to the TMJ (temporomandibular joints) that are on each side of the head. These joints work together along with ligaments, bones, and muscles, to allow you to speak and chew.

At Arcadia Dentistry, Dr. Matthew Milana understands how painful and stressful this condition can be, and can ease your discomfort.

What is TMJ?

TMJ is the joint that connects your jaw to your jaw bone to your face; it acts as a hinge when you open and close your mouth. Many conditions can affect your joints, facial nerves, and muscles.

How Long Does TMJ Pain Last?

Pain management is different for every person, along with how long your TMJ will last. Some patients can work through their discomfort with over-the-counter pain medication, regular massaging of the area, and ice packs. For others, surgery may be required to address the long-term pain.

What Is TMD Pain?

Common causes of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) in Phoenix, AZ include:

  • Trauma and Injury
  • Medications
  • Bruxism (Teeth Grinding)
  • Anxiety
